Dentures & Partials
If you're missing teeth, you're not alone. One in four people over the age of 65 have lost all of their teeth, and 50 million Americans struggle with prosthetic devices every day. Dr. Calvano and Dr. La Grua are skilled denture dentists who can create a custom denture or partial denture that will restore your smile, speech, and chewing ability.
Full Dentures
A full denture replaces all of the teeth on an upper or lower arch. Traditional dentures are removable and must be secured with an over-the-counter denture adhesive. Dr. Calvano or Dr. La Grua will work closely with a denture lab to create a custom denture that fits comfortably and looks natural.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures consist of a few teeth on a gum-colored base. A partial denture is fastened with inconspicuous metal clasps that curve around existing teeth. Unlike a dental bridge, a partial denture can be removed by the patient for cleaning and maintenance.
Implant-Supported Dentures & Partials
For optimal stability, function, and support Dr. Calvano or Dr. La Grua may recommend an implant-supported denture or partial denture. Dental implants are permanent anchors that will prevent your denture from slipping, clicking, or falling out. Implant-supported partial dentures don't rely on surrounding teeth for support, so they last longer and function more like natural teeth.
